OVERVIEW

Tinge is a flavored malt beverage made out of all-natural tropical fruits. This alcoholic beverage caters to health-conscious individuals ages 21-35 who like to live lavish and enjoy the taste of exotic flavors. Tinge is brewed with alkaline mineral water, fermented cane sugar, and a hint of tropical fruit.

SOLUTION

For the brand, I chose a tropical theme that helps differentiate them from their competitors. I used a typeface called Blenny to create a modified logo that has a tropical feel. The vertical display font on the can is called Mensch. I used it’s inline and bold weight with contrast to create a focal point on the flavor names. Lastly, I kept the artwork and the colors minimal to convey a high end aesthetic.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

WHITE CLAW

White Claw has a hand crafted design aesthetic with it’s logo and paint stroke running behind the flavor names. It has white, silver, and minimal color.

TRULY

Truly uses bold sans serif typography along with very vibrant photography. The names of the flavors and the fruits have a subtle texture around them.

CORONA

Corona’s hard seltzer looks like they ripped off their competitors to try and fit into this new market. The design looks too chunked together.

BON & VIV

Bon & Viv uses minimalist illustrations. Their color palette is vibrantly displayed with an oceanic theme. They use well balanced symmetrical crest.
